Developed by Biofeedback Therapist Jennifer Stephens, M.A.

"Jennifer Stephens first approached me about her interest in the treatment of urinary incontinence in 1992...When Jennifer described newer bladder control exercises which seemingly offered a “risk-free” alternative to surgery, I was very interested if slightly skeptical. At that time, there were only a few studies which discussed “pelvic floor rehabilitation” via biofeedback techniques. Jennifer’s experience with biofeedback and her excitement over its use to improve pelvic floor strength and decrease incontinence convinced me to look further.

I decided to take a chance on this new approach to incontinence and was not disappointed by what I observed over the years to come. My patients were clearly getting better after seeing Jennifer...."

Nausea; frequent urination; lower abdominal pressure; lack of premenstrual cravings?

Question: Nausea; frequent urination; lower abdominal pressure; lack of premenstrual cravings?

(Posted by: brittany c on 2010-03-04 12:05:14)

Nausea; lower abdominal pressure; frequent urination? I am a 21yr old female. I take a 28day birth control pill (generic version of Alesse) and Synthroid. Since Feb 19th 2010, I have had a permanently queasy stomach. For the most part it is just a minor sensation of queasiness, however I do notice it at all times. Sometimes like when I'm hungry or full, I feel the need to vomit but I have not vomited. Also I have a weird pressure that is located across the front of my lower abdomen. It is between my hips, below my belly button, and above the “mon pubis.” It is a heavy pressure that does not go away. It is not painful, just very pressuring, sort of like the pressure of bloating before a period. On the morning of Feb 21st, I wiped myself after my morning pee and found three little gooey balls of blood, they reminded me of period blood. Since then, I have been feeling the need to urinate more often than usual. Another thing that has been happening since Feb 21st ...don't know if it's related or not...is TERRIBLE headaches! They start at around 3:30pm and last until I finally fall asleep! I have always been a headache person but these are the WORST. I slept ON an ice pack to dull the pain. Please help me figure out what is going on in my body! I'm very frustrated about feeling so uncomfortable. (P.S. The symptoms started 1.5 weeks after my last period...aka also 1.5 weeks before my next) i have a dr's appt on fri for a vag culture from the bacterial vaginosis i was diagnosed with 4weeks ago. so i am going to bring it up then. i was just hoping someone could help me figure out whats wrong so i can prepare myself for the posibilities! I am on BC so I am expecting my period sometime tomorrow or saturday....that is why i am thoroughly surprised by this: the week pre- period i usually eat like two boxes of my fave chocolate chip cookies, and just pure CRAVE chocolate chip cookies. NOT this time tho :S instead i am having slight SLIGHT cravings for celery. WTF! I ALWAYS, for the last 3 yrs at least need a bag of cookies hte week before. :S

It is possible that you have pregnant, i'd take a test, it is uncommon but it has happened to get pregnant while on the pill, and taking it everyday like you should... just ask my mom, im her proof lol. another possibility may be a cyst on your ovaries... it would cause the pressure and maybe even a hormone imbalance giving you the other symptoms
