Developed by Biofeedback Therapist Jennifer Stephens, M.A.
"Jennifer Stephens first approached me about her interest in the treatment of urinary incontinence in 1992...When Jennifer described newer bladder control exercises which seemingly offered a “risk-free” alternative to surgery, I was very interested if slightly skeptical. At that time, there were only a few studies which discussed “pelvic floor rehabilitation” via biofeedback techniques. Jennifer’s experience with biofeedback and her excitement over its use to improve pelvic floor strength and decrease incontinence convinced me to look further.
I decided to take a chance on this new approach to incontinence and was not disappointed by what I observed over the years to come. My patients were clearly getting better after seeing Jennifer...."

Question: I was reading about kegel muscle exercises.....?
(Posted by: portuguesesoccerguy61862002 on 2008-11-17 11:35:34)
Is it the same when I flex my butt or is it a different feeling? I was reading that I'm supposed to keep my thighs, abs and butt relaxed, but when I flex the PC muscle, my butt tightens also. Can anyone explain?? |

Yeah, there is a difference. the muscle you're to tighten is as if you're holding your urine. It's sorta natural for the butt muscle to tighten also so no harm but the concentration for the purpose of the exercise is to tighten the P.C. muscle. |

The muscle that is used to urinate with is the same one you tighten or flex for kegels. Great Exercise by the way. |

Yeah man, you must be learning from a good source...its kinda hard to seperate them in the beginning, but as the pc muscle gets stronger, you will be able to keep your ass and abs relaxed, while you only flex the PC muscle put a hand on your butt and on your abs to make sure they don't tense up, thats a good start you seem like a smart kid, you should really look into the guide on mistermanpower.net lots of useful info regarding erection strengthening, overcoming premature ejaculation, male multiple orgasms, etc. |
