Developed by Biofeedback Therapist Jennifer Stephens, M.A.

"Jennifer Stephens first approached me about her interest in the treatment of urinary incontinence in 1992...When Jennifer described newer bladder control exercises which seemingly offered a “risk-free” alternative to surgery, I was very interested if slightly skeptical. At that time, there were only a few studies which discussed “pelvic floor rehabilitation” via biofeedback techniques. Jennifer’s experience with biofeedback and her excitement over its use to improve pelvic floor strength and decrease incontinence convinced me to look further.

I decided to take a chance on this new approach to incontinence and was not disappointed by what I observed over the years to come. My patients were clearly getting better after seeing Jennifer...."

It's like you go to pee almost every hour?

Well, if you have been diagnosed with this, then your doctor should have prescribed you a medication for it, such as Detrol, or another. If you have not been diagnosed and you have just noticed this and it is new, than you should get checked out because you may have a urinary tract infection or a urinary bladder prolapse. Ask your Doctor. Also try to limit fluids before yuo are going places where frequent urination will be inconvenient. Are you on any medications that have frequent urination as a side effect?

Sounds like you may have an infection... go see your doctor and he/ she can prescribe something for you. don't worry though, you'll be fine :)

There's medications available for that. Consult your doctor.

Definately a urinary tract infection. Either that or you are drinking gallons of water. I would go have your pee checked.

First you should get tested for a urinary tract infection -- you may or may not have one, but if you do, you definitely want to get it treated right away! If you don't have an infection, there are medications that can calm down your bladder muscles so you may not have to go as often... these work better for some people than others, but it can't hurt to try them for a little while and see how much difference they make, and then decide if the benefits are worth the costs. If you decide not to take the meds, the best thing you can do is to make sure you go to the bathroom as the very last thing you do before you're going to be away from one for a long time (like on a long car trip, or in class or in a meeting or whatever), whether you need to go or not... that can actually make a big difference as to how bothersome the symptoms are! Also, make sure you are drinking plenty of water -- it sounds backwards, I know, but not drinking enough water will cause your body to produce more concentrated urine, which will make an overactive bladder worse! You should also avoid caffeine, fizzy drinks, and artificial sweeteners, as all of these are irritating to the bladder as well.

Smiley's answer is close enough with the rest, best is to have a doctor diagnose you. In my way of thinking, check if you are diabetic, if not, i bet you love to drink loads of beers softdrinks, teas or sugar ladened foods. Try to lessen this. If you also consumed much protein rich foods, consider it a blessing, your body automatically excrete the excess uric acids which are waste products of proteins, or else you get rhematism at anytime.
