Developed by Biofeedback Therapist Jennifer Stephens, M.A.
"Jennifer Stephens first approached me about her interest in the treatment of urinary incontinence in 1992...When Jennifer described newer bladder control exercises which seemingly offered a “risk-free” alternative to surgery, I was very interested if slightly skeptical. At that time, there were only a few studies which discussed “pelvic floor rehabilitation” via biofeedback techniques. Jennifer’s experience with biofeedback and her excitement over its use to improve pelvic floor strength and decrease incontinence convinced me to look further.
I decided to take a chance on this new approach to incontinence and was not disappointed by what I observed over the years to come. My patients were clearly getting better after seeing Jennifer...."

Diabetes would bring on more than the one symptom, so I would say that that's probably not it. Over active bladder could be, or possibly prostate issues. You need to see a doctor about either one - there is help available. Good Luck! |

This is the kind of question that I would avoid asking here. You probably need to go to a doctor to have some tests done. Good luck! :) |

Be sensible and see a doctor, this is no place to ask for medical advice. |

It is most likely an over activd bladder. If you had diabetes you would experience dizziness and such. |

Maybe you have a water infection? Maybe you just have a weak bladder Do you have any children..? Your pelvic muscles may be weak, try tightening them by doing pelvic floor exercises. |

I'm assuming you're a man based on your mention of prostate problems so that rules out a lot of "female " causes for this. Do you drink caffeinated or artificially sweetened drinks? Both of those things can irritate the bladder and make you have the urge to urinate more often. You're pretty young to have prostate enlargement and usually that causes the inability to void rather than what you're describing. |

Go to the doctors, don't start worrying until you know whats really wrong with you. Hypochondria is joked about but it's so easy to think the worst and think of all the possibilities when you're worried. Stressing out will not help. It's obviously worrying you, go get checked out hunny. x |

I am not an expert, but here are my thoughts. You are young. You work out, which means you probably are of a healthy weight. Unless diabetes runs in your family I would put diabetes low on your list of concerns. But diabetes could still be a problem. Get yourself checked with a fasting blood test. This is a blood test done early in the day before you have had anything to eat. You are a little old for juvenile diabetes, and if you are of healthy weight and eat a healthy diet, Type 2 is also unlikly. Talk to your doctor. The fasting blood sugar test is not expensive, and should answer your questions. |
