Developed by Biofeedback Therapist Jennifer Stephens, M.A.
"Jennifer Stephens first approached me about her interest in the treatment of urinary incontinence in 1992...When Jennifer described newer bladder control exercises which seemingly offered a “risk-free” alternative to surgery, I was very interested if slightly skeptical. At that time, there were only a few studies which discussed “pelvic floor rehabilitation” via biofeedback techniques. Jennifer’s experience with biofeedback and her excitement over its use to improve pelvic floor strength and decrease incontinence convinced me to look further.
I decided to take a chance on this new approach to incontinence and was not disappointed by what I observed over the years to come. My patients were clearly getting better after seeing Jennifer...."

Could I have overactive bladder syndrome?
I saw an advert for people that need help with this condition and the symptoms sound a lot like mine. I have to go to the bathroom more frequently than everyone else, depending on what I'm doing, the feeling comes on after about half an hour to an hour when I'm sitting down at home, but I can hold it for about 3 hours if I know a toilet is nearby, but it's much worse when I'm in the car or something and I don't have quick access to a toilet probably because I'm worrying about it more . I don't have any burning sensation or sudden sense of urgency, just having to go a lot. When I do go I don't pass very much urine, even if I've held it for 3 hours. I'm okay at night, I don't wet the bed or anything, but I do have to get up at least once in the night, usually 5 or 6 in the morning. I've had this problem for several years. My parents don't think anything is wrong with me and that it's all in my head, but my best friend has the exact same problem so something must be up. I've had a urine test and a kidney bladder ultrasound done before and they didn't produce any results, no sign of infection and my kidneys and bladder appear physically sound. How can I convince my mum to take me to the doctor again? And should I ask the doctor about this condition? When I had the ultrasound they found no problems with voiding.
How do I know if I have overactive bladder syndrome?
Today I've been peeing A LOT like 5 times since 11am and each time it wasn't just a little, it was kind of a lot, and I'm really confused because I haven't really been drinking that much. I even thought I was dehydrated yesterday. What is this???
Overactive bladder syndrome?
I have overactive bladder syndrome and I have previously been on vesicare medication which didn't seem to work so my dose was doubled and that didn't seem to work either. Recently I've been put on detrusitol medication but that doesn't seem to be helping me either. I have a very overactive bladder as in a stressful situation I could need the toilet every five minutes. I have a very important job interview tomorrow and I was wondering if there was anything I could do to stop going to the toilet as often? I'm male and 16 years of age. Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
